September and October bdays and anniversaris

A very busy time of the year and it just gets busier. I start all the calendars in June and then work on them in between the cards. I have all of them done with just the final "once over" to make sure of finishing details, etc.
This first card is for my youngest grandson who turned 8 this year. he said that he really liked the cupcake. The card is in the form of a folder to which I added a gift card and other various pictures.

I do think that drawing the main portion of the cards has become my favorite project lately. I get the ideas online or from magazines or books that I have. They are usually stamps that people use or is specked in the instructions. I am not a "stamper" and prefer to draw adding in my own flair. This is for a grand-nephew who turned 2.

A postcard that I cut into "tiles" and layered. I really love this effect. This is an anniversary card for a niece.

Another anniversary for another niece. I got this idea from a Valentine. They are celebrating their 15th year!

For my dear friend, Mary and her husband. She loves roses and most of the cards I make for her include them in some way.

Back to the drawing and coloring. This is for my nephew who just turned 26...I think.

For my niece, the above nephew's sister who will be 25 soon.

For yet another niece who will be 7 on Halloween.

To my sister who celebrates on the 25th. The Mother to the two older one's above.

For a grand-niece who will be 12 on the 11th. These are cut from paper with button centers.

July and August cards

for my niece who is a party animal and had a weiner dog that she loved!

For my Mom

For my eldest grandson who celebrated his 21st. The balloons move up and down along a "corridor"

A card I made for another niece that is getting married on New Year's Eve.

June birthdays and Father's day

My hand at making some tri-fold cards. This one for my Dad's birthday has a piece on the back to unfold and make it stand like a frame.

The three Father's day cards I made. For my Father-in-law, my Dad and my son

Mother's day

I did have a pattern for this one in one of my books making it less time consuming.

Flower pieces cut freehand and ribbon stems

These flowers are cut from felt including the "buttons" which are stitched together with embroidery floss.

Just layering of papers with a chosen picture to start the color scheme.

More cutting by hand including the lettering.

May cards

WOW it has been a very LONG time  since I updated this blog!

For a cousin. I love the eyes I used here. Different from the usual wiggle ones.

For my daughter. Hand drawn with a little "clothespin" for the embellishment

An anniversary card for my sister and her husband. The birds are cut freehand. The lettering is done by hand as well.

Flowers picture was cut from a catalog and then colored in with gel markers. I then cut it out and mounted onto the purple. Cut that into "tiles" and created the mosaic. Another anniversary card for my in laws.

These two are basically the same with different borders. I drew the candle and cake paper myself before cutting in half and using on both.

Another birthday card. Drawn and colored. I added glitter "dust" on the icing for extra sparkle.
