July activities and cards

I have the papers cut and sorted for my annual calendar project. I will start printing the months today. And then the rest of the year between other bdays, holidays and anniversaries I will be working on them.

I made a card for a friend who was hosting a 30 year anniversary (at work) party for a coworker. She wanted pearls and the color green to be used and other than that I was free to choose the design

I wasn't going to add anything on the inside but decided that this quote from Mae West was fitting

This card is for my husband's Aunt. She likes frogs and will celebrate on the 21st. The background is recycled from my Mom's bday party decorations. The frog was drwan way before i brought home the decorations and I thought  that this went perfect.

My Mom's card. It is a six panel card. This is the first 3.

The 2nd 3

And then each one individually

All is hand drawn and cut, peiced together and embellished. I did use a corner punch and my scalloped shears on some of the pieces.

This is a scrap book I made for Mom for her to add memories of the party.

I had the guests add their thoughts to some of the pages, leaving the darker ones to add photos, etc. later

Father's day and other June cards

My what a busy month June was!!!! Lots of social activities starting with a high school graduation the first weekend, our 38th anniversary the next, Father's day the next , a mini family reunion on my husband's side the next,  75th bday party for my Mom on the last weekend and then the 4th of July. We enjoyed all of it but are ready to be home a bit for a while.

My Dad's bday card. drawn and colored in with pens and pencils. His bday was the 28th.

For a nephew that graduated on the 2nd of June. I have made this card 3 other times for male graduates. there is a pocket on the inside for money. As usual the letters are hand drawn and cut with no special tools other than scissors and a kraft knife. I used a piece of the netting from tomatoes or fruit for the contrast behind the "A"

My son's Father's day card. Again drwan and colored in ...no stamping here.

A bday card for my husband's uncle. His bady was on the 13th. He is a golf fan. Yes, more drawing and coloring. One of my favorite things to do lately.

For a grand-neice who celebrated on the 1st of June. Another card I have made a few times for 5 yr olds. The wiggle eyes usually go in the two "O"s but with the little owl sitting right above I decided to add them there.
