October cards

I have started on Halloween but none are finished yet. Anniversary cards first...
This one is for a neice and her husband who will celebrate 11 years. I started with the jewels to see what I had on hand and to make sure I could match up the papers and ribbon. It actually took longer for the prep than to assemble the finished card.
This one was for my dear friend and her husband in Tennessee. They celebrated 46 years yesterday. She loves roses and has several bushes in her yard. I had an embroidery pattern that I used for the seperate shapes. They wre cut from 3 shades of paper and shaded in with colored pencils before assembling.
My youngest neice will be 4 on Halloween.
She likes Thumbelina! I printed the picture and colored it in with pencils and pens.
I drew the cake and colored in, matted and then attached with foam tape over the ribbons. Again I started with the ribbons to make sure everything coordinated. I have found that is the easiest way and saves frustration when you don't have the right match.

For my nephew, the above neice's older brother who will be 24. Flags are drawn and colored in with pens. The "brads" holding the flags are actually dots left from punching holes in my calendars.
