Christmas cards

My beginning to the Christmas card project! I usually make more than one of each design but this time I made individual ones. The only exception is the little birdie one where I made 2. I plan to make some in multiples in the next batch. These are all drawings which I have found to be one of my favorite styles lately.

This one was sort of an experiment. It turned out better than I thought it would.

The little birds. I have used this design on calendars before and I think it is cute. I drew the birds and colored in. I did cheat a little this time and used an oval template for the bodies.

Carolers....I really love this one! Another pencil drawing that was colored in with pencil and gel pens. Then an added touch with pieces of felt.

I like the old fashioned feel of this one. After coloring in I added white dots with a paint pen and while still wet sprinkled glitter dust on.

A little "Charlie Brown" tree. I used this on a calendar this year. On the calendar I added a sentiment about the tree and I haven't decided if I will to the card yet. Maybe some on the cover and the rest on the inside.

Simple but nice. Sometimes simple is best.

The mouse gave me a little trouble on this one but eventually he turned out okay. All of these drawings are drawn from pictures in PaperCrafts, etc. I did not come up with them on my own but did add or delete in places.

The elephant is a little different and I like that. I get tired of the same old wreaths, ornaments, etc.

Merry "Kiss-mas"! I made this for a December calendar page as well. I cut the birds from paper and drew in the decor. Then attached to the card front before adding more curly-cues.

November birthdays

My 14 yr old Grandson's card. It reminded me of him in several ways....He loves music and "ugly dolls". I drew and colored in the picture and then mounted it onto the card.

This one is for a Grand-Neice who turned 5 this last week. I like to use buttons as I have several both old and new. They make the perfect final touch on some and the focal point on others like this one.

For my neighbor, Ling. She likes to drink hot tea and came here from China about 5 years ago. I thought this card suited her well.

For the other 1/2 of the one above. Ling's husband, John has his birthday in November as well. He BBQs almost every weekend!
