October bdays, etc.

My start to October....6 bdays, anniversary and Halloween are needed this month. Also 2 early November. I have 4 of the bdays done and the anniversary. I didn't get a shot of one of the bdays before I gave it. It was a 3-d one with the #40 on front. I may get a shot of it from the recipent later ;)

For my grand neice....ribbon flower, button center and a few buggie stickers.

For my nephew away at college in Arkansas.
This is a diorama card. It has to be folded flat to send and then he will have to insert tab into slot to stand up.

For my neice and her husband's 10th anniversary. Velumn over cardstock.

For my neice also in college in Arkansas. The waterfall card. I made some of these for Mother's day and I really like the presentation if you get the right papers and pictures. This was from a paper pack that I bought at Walmart. The ribbon pull was taken from a saved card I received from her Mom...it matched perfectly!

Calendars

The calendars are a work in progress!!!

I wanted to do something different for the covers this year and I came up with this idea. When I was in 3rd grade in art class we wrote our names in cursive on a folded piece of paper and made something out of it. Here are a couple of ideas i came up with. This on is my Mom's...it is MOM written and turned on end to make a bird fountain.

This one is Miller....I turned it into a dragonfly

.

This shows how I decorate the top and mark the month page to show special dates and acknowledge bdys and anniversaries

One of the December pages. I drew the trees that I saw on a saved piece of wrapping paper and colored them in.

I designed and cut this "stencil" for a few of the Feburary pages
.

More december ideas....I drew the birdies...the ornaments are sequins

Another Febrary page

September cards

Patrick Star....for my grandson, Aidan's 3rd birthday.
I drew patrick and then peiced him together adding detail with colored pencil and glitter pen. The balloons are attached with foam dots and tape at various heights. peices of floss are used for the strings.

Anniversary card for a dear friend. This example used a stamp for the branch....not my style....I cut the branch, traced around with black pen and drew the leaves on. Love birds is also hand lettered.

Anniversary card for my neice and her husband. He was deployed to Afganistan this past Monday. I wanted something "special" for her to "share" with him.
