Baby Scrapbook

The front cover: "buttons" were cut from an old paint fan deck..the colors cordinated with the papers nicely!

A few of the inside pages
....I added poems I found on the web to go along with a growing baby boy through his first birthday.

The back cover

Blue Monkey

Well I do make other things besides cards as birthday gifts for the little ones sometimes. This monkey is for a grand-neice who will be 8 this month. She informed me that she liked monkeys at Christmas so this is what I came up with. She is made from blue velvet which is actually a little darker than the photo because of the flash. The body is velvet. The mouth, ears, hands and feet are felt. Some of the work is done on the machine but quite a bit of it was hand work! I added the bow at the top of her head as it seemed like something was missing.

More Valentines

I got this idea from the latest Paper Crafts mag. I made the pizza by attaching the "sauce" to the slightly larger "crust". I then curled the edges and attached punched paper for the "pepperoni" I added drawn on olives and peppers. Then I cut a slice and attached it to the inside.

The peice attached to a heart.

Stamps are not something that I have a lot of so this one was drawn and painted in. I used up some old rick rack peices and patterened paper.

This card called for a chipboard "U". I cut the "U" and let contrasting paper show through from the inside.

I love layers...I used 10 here!

Valentines

Lace, patterened paper and some immagination.

Started with the button, then added the heart petals. Rub on at the top and the little flying guys are stickers with added "flying dots" added with pen.

Another button and heart creation. The antenae is made from wire.

These "gum guys" are different and so adorable! I started with sticks of gum that I covered with patterened paper. You add a piece of double sided tape down the back of one piece. Add pipecleaners and attach the second stick of gum. Decorate with a heart head, google eyes and hair. My two youngest grandsons love gum an I think they will enjoy these little guys.

Another different type of valentine....I made these for the 2 youngest recipients. Cut 4 hearts and glue together. Punch hole and tread floss through. Add beads and knots for a hanging decoration.

February Birthdays

I sketched the flowers and hearts and then colored them in. Cut out in a tag shape and attached to the background paper that has been attached to the cardstock. I then wrote in happy birthday and happy valentines in the print on the background with an ink pen.
This card is for my neighbor whose Birthday is on Valentines Day.

This was a simple card made for a Cousin. A great example of recycling.....The cardstock is new, the orange mat peice and bow are cut from a Tide ad, the green is the inside of an envelope from a birthday card my husband received.

This card is for an 8 year old grand-neice. She is such a "diva"!
I started with the jeans cut from patterend paper and embelished with floss, lace and jewel. Then I cut the patterened background from Serindipity paper. I scalloped the top and bottom of the cardstock and added the white dots with a paint pen. Final touch was the rub on at the bottom.
