November Birthdays

I made this card for my skateboarding 11 year old grandson. I actually searched the web for the skull paper and printed it from a fabric sample.

This is one of several purses that I have made for grand neices. This one was for a 3year old. I also made her "dress up" clothes. A beret, purse and skirt of lavendar broadcloth and purple tulle. All were embelished with "jewels".

Thanksgiving

This is an intresting card to make. I started with an ad from a magazine for "falling leaves" wine. I cut out a portion and then cut into strips and spaced onto the cardstock. The next section is another strip from the "trunk" of the trees. The bottom section are more strips cut into smaller peices.

Another example of taking a picture and cutting into peices and then spacing apart onto cardstock.

More magazine pictures. I always go thru my magazines as I read and look for possibilities that I save in files. These peices came from my "abstract" file. They are carpet and wall coverings, etc.

A simple but great looking result. Gourds are yet another saved picture, mounted onto patterened paper and mounted with foam squares to the background.

The magazine picture here is the leaf that I used to coordinate the papers. The final touch is the metalic thread stitching.
