Mom's birthday card and gift

Here is my Mom's "card". I love the package look!

This is called a "squash" book. I saw this somewhere and noted in my mind that I wanted to make this for my Mom. I couldn't remember where I had seen it and looked through my books and magazines several times. It was driving me crazy!!! So I turned to the web and did a search. I found several photos of books others had made and then finally found the instructions.


Here is the inside. I plan to make more of these as they are fun to make.

Calendars

I have started 2008 calendars. This will be an ongoing process for the next4-5 mos. I try to get them mostly finished before October because then it really gets BUSY!!!!
Besides Halloween there are 3 birthdays and an anniversary in October. November brings on Thanksgiving and 2 birthdays. And December is loaded with Christmas cards for personal friends and family along with ones for our business.
I have all pages cut....Birthday gift from my husband, a Fiskars paper cutter, came in real handy!!!! I printed up the calendar months last week, some recipes yesterday and the fronts today. I sorted and put together each calendar by recipient. after the "scrapper's rings" come in I'll be able to actually "bind" them. Then comes the fun and timely part....adding the decor to the top of each month. I am making a few more of the smaller calendars this year due to the list growing. The smaller ones don't have as much area to decorate. In total I'll be making 6 small and 8 larger ones this year.

Father's Day cards, etc.

My Dad's Father's day card. The bottom star is cut out so that inside shows through.


This one is for my Father-in-law. I like the simple lines.


My Son's card. He is the proud father of two son's aged 3yrs and 8mos.


This is my Dad's Birthday card. His b day is the week after Father's day so he always gets a double dose of cards in June.


This is part of the inside of Dad's b day card. I have made one like this before for my husband's cousin. I think they turn out well.
