Birthday cards

This card is for my big brother, Mark. To make this card I took a picture of a "landscape" and cut it into 3 sections. I then mounted it onto cardstock with foam dots to make it 3D.

This card is for our neighbor. I got the idea from a catalog and then made it "my own".

This is the inside of the above card . I added the confetti to the inside as well as a balloon with embroidery floss for the string.

Graduation cards

We have two graduations to go to in May. Both are for guys, so I made the same card for each of them. Some of the stencil letters are raised with foam squares while others are left flat. The "A" has "netting" from a grapefruit bag on the back. The inside has a pocket for $, gift card, etc.

Mother's Day cards

I love the way these turned out! First I embroidered the bouquet, then attached it to the card. I made one for my Mom and one for my sister.

Another very nice example of embroidery and different looks when trying different papers.

No stitching on this one, but I was very pleased with the outcome. The photo doesn't do it justice! The lighter papers never do well with my camera. I added foam dots to the back of the flower and Mom rectangle. This was not suggested in the "idea" magazine. I think it makes it "POP".

I am working on 3 birthdays and 2 graduations.....will post these soon.

Thank You cards

Eight examples of a basic card with variations. I made these for family thanking them for gifts and/or attending my Birthday party. Some of the supplies used in making the cards were part of the gifts I received. My son gave me $ for more paper, cardstock, etc. My Father-in-law and his wife gave me stickers, buttons and stars
packed in a handmade bag/purse. My daughter and Grandson gave me a couple of stained glass coloring books. I got other gifts as well including St. Patrick's themed items
(leprachaun, t-shirt, mug, stuffed animal and talking bottle opener), a relaxing fountain, picture frames, and cookbook. My sister, Melanie gave me a SISTERS frame. The letters were the "cutouts" for the pictures. She gathered pictures from when we were quite young up through my sister, Michelle's wedding in 2000. She also gave me an angel for sisters.

I had a great party hosted by my neice, Lacy and her family. We had green cake and margaritas, burgers and hotdogs, chips and dips AND lots of fun and togetherness. We even had two "virtual guests" via webcam from Missouri. My Mom and brother, Mark.
