March and April Birthdays

2 March Birthdays and 1 of the 5 for April

Two varieties of the same idea....I think these are fun. The example suggests that the "tags" are ready made....I made my own.

This idea was inspired from an old card front that was saved by Joy (step-Mom). Another fun card to make! I made this one for my son's (Sean)30th birthday.

Baby mini quilt and future projects

I made this from a scrap of fabric I had left over from my last grandson's shower. The back is made from the same fabric as the ruffle. I tied the yarn "quilting" areas on the lambs bow around it's neck.

Future projects will include:
March birthday cards...only 2...Sean and Brandy.
April birthdays...5...Caleb, Courtney, Crystal, James and Maggi...3 anniversarys...AND Easter! I also will be making Caleb's gift...a turtle beanbag chair.
May has 5 birthdays, one anniversary and Mother's Day.

Watch for future posts of these projects as they become available!

Birthday and Baby cards

A new Baby card style that can be changed to match the gender.
Also a new style that I have not made before. The inside has several "getting older" jokes like:"You know you're getting older when your top 3 favorite pastimes involve sleep &....your spare tire is larger than your cars.

Valentines

This year I decided to make all basically the same with boy and girl variations. This idea came to me one night and it evolved as I was making them. The "hands" and "feet" are candy hearts attached to cardboard. I used the wiggle eyes that kids love over cut out circles of coordinating papers. And then the finishing touch of either felt bow tie or ribbon bow.

Bailey's gift....Barbie clothes

These Barbie clothes were made from patterns that MY Barbie clothes were made from in the 60's. I also used them for my daughter in the 80's.

Felt pants, knit pancho with felt trim and felt bag.
Evening gown made from scraps of my daughter's wedding gown, "fur" and matching clutch.
Felt skirt, blouse with felt trim and matching felt bag.

February cards

So far I have made 2 birthday cards...one for my neighbor(you take the cake) similar to the one I made for my Mother-in-law in December and one for my great-neice, Bailey whose birthday is the 10th. Bailey's is another purse card that the little girls LOVE!
I also made a baby announcement card for a shower on the 18th. This is for Kim, my daughter's friend since kindergarten.
I have one more birthday card to make for Butch, my husband's cousin. His b.day is the 23rd.
Then a couple of Valentines!
