cards by me

This site will show my card creations and ongoing projects. I created my site to share with friends and family. It will also be a "test" for feedback on the possibility of starting a small business making cards and personalized calendars. Please scroll down or visit the archives to view photos. Mother's Day

The flower is a spiral cut from patterened paper and then twisted into shape. The butterfly was cut from a purchased card. The thickness of the card allow me to fold the wings up for 3-D effeect.

To make these I drew off the pattern and then punched the holes before stitching making it easier. They are hand stitched with 6 strand embroidery floss. Then I looked thru my papers to come up with the layers and card stock. I usually find the papers first but this time I was lucky and found the perfect matches.

The sunflowers were cut from the bottom of a note I got from someone. I then layered it with coordinating papers and card stock.

Another layered card using a picture from a catalouge.

Two of the same with color differences.
