Easter cards

I have used these two guys for cards and calendars several times over the years. They are so cute and can be changed up to suit the recipient. I like the bright colors I used here.
I usually make at least 2 of a kind when making "bulk" cards for holidays. These are the same but different. I used sticker eggs and flowers, peircing technique and I drew and cut out the little chicks.

I read about this idea at Fave Crafts. First I cut out the cross shape then applied double sided tape about 1/8 inch from the edges. I placed shapes cut from handmade paper scraps onto the tape. Then I sprinkled glittery "dust" on top. These turned out better than I had thought. They really pop on the lighter background and once I picked the card base color they really came together!

This idea came from an ad in Paper Crafts. The bunnies were diecut stickers. I drew them in 2 pieces and cut out so that I could change the position of the heads and body. The noses are the punched pieces from holes I punched making calendars....I save everything!...almost. I drew on the daisy and grass, then added the eggs with the boys names.

This idea was also in Paper Crafts. I have used it for a calendar page before. I thought it would make a nice Easter card so I changed the sentiment from Mom to happy Easter. I used piercing, gel and glitter pens, colored pencils and my old scalloped shears. They work great for scalloped edges and once they were too dull for fabric...what they were originally purchased for back in the 70's....they became a great tool for cardmaking!
