January cards....Christmas and Bday gifts

I made this card for my sister, Michelle. The blue is cut from felt and embroiderd with pink floss. The bottom piece is fringed and trimmed with a blanket stitch.
This card is for my newest grand neice, Braya. She turned one on the 13th. I drew and colored in with gel pens and pencils, matted and attached with foam tape.

This is the baby owl sock creature I made for her Christmas gift. I thought it looked a bit boyish so I added the pink ribbon on top.

This is what I made her for her birthday gift. A little bitty baby in her own bunting. I used the fabric left over from a blanket and hoodie that I made when she was born.

These necklaces were a joint effort. I had two of my grandsons over before Christmas to do crafts. The larger pieces are made from salt dough and were intended to be ornaments. They left to go skating (busy little guys these days!) before they had finished baking/drying. I had an idea to use some of the pieces to make the necklaces. I called and asked them if they wanted to make them for their cousins and they thought it was a good idea. I strung them with wood beads on ribbon. The girls loved them. They were for a 6, 8 and 11 year old. Braya, the baby got hold of one as well and wanted to suck on it due to the salt content. I had to advise against this so that she wouldn't bite off a piece and choke.
